About the TAMA
The TAMA is a compact and versatile campervan designed for everyday use and comfortable weekend camping holidays. The TAMA is built on a standard body low or high roof Toyota Hiace which is the perfect size to handle Japan’s narrow city roads and regular parking spaces. This compact campervan is a perfect blend of a daily driver and comfortable campervan.

The TAMA seats up to 6 and sleeps up to 4 (two adults and 2 small children) and the 8 number version comes standard with a 30L fridge, 10L fresh water tank, and a 1000watt 100AH Lithium iron phosphate battery system.

Transformable Modes
The TAMA can quickly transform into various arrangement modes depending on your needs.

Sleeping Mode
The TAMA main bed space is semi-double size. If more sleeping space is needed, the rear FASP seat can fold flat to sleep up to two small children.
Dining Mode / Workspace
To convert into dinnette mode or a comfortable workspace, the rear seat can flip to face the rear of the campervan and the table angle and height can swivel and adjust.
Cargo Mode
If additional storage space is needed for moving large items, the bed panels can be removed to open up more floor space.

Furniture is handmade using plywood from 滝澤ベニヤ株式会社, a company founded in 1936 who focus on high quality and use adhesives free of VOC substances and formaldehyde making it safe for children and pets. Their plywood is used in nursery schools and kindergartens throughout Japan.
The TAMA kitchen countertop is made of quality walnut, chosen for it’s beautiful grain and textures as well as resistance to mold and water. The distinctive and beautiful wood grain adds a beautiful and modern look to the interior space.

Wood Paint and Natural Oils
We use Osmo paint and oils for it’s exceptional quality and natural properties, as it’s free from harmful chemicals and thinners. It has passed European toy safety standards and is used for painting infant toys and furniture. Osmo paints and oils are resistant to stains, and damage can be repaired quite easily by applying overcoats when needed. Thanks to the natural properties of the paint and oil the wood and furniture is protected while still able to it to breathe.

The 100AH lithium iron phosphate battery is rated for 4000+ cycles and contains a state-of-the-art battery management system which provides short circuit, over charging, and over temperature protection while maintaining a balanced voltage.
The battery also features a communication port—enabling communication between batteries and external devices allowing for real-time charge monitoring.

Comfortable Sleep
Compact campervans often include uncomfortable beds and or short in length but the KUMA Q boasts a comfortable full length queen size main bed (1950mm L x 1600mm W x 100mm H) as well as a rear seat that can fold flat into a second bed if needed.
These two beds make it possible to comfortably sleep 4 adults or even a family of 5. The queen size mattress can be folded up and the bed panels stacked or stored neatly inside a storage compartment to create more space when beds aren’t needed.
